Classic Principles of Time Control

As I said before, self discipline is the most important thing toward success. Therefore, it is needed to control our time. The mission is not getting more done in less time, but accomplishing the priorities you select within the time available. To do this, it is suggested to:

1. Make a list.
Nothing ever gets done until it gets on a list of things to do, and perhaps not always then. But there once there is a list, everything has a chance. It is suggested we list down the things to be done by tomorrow at the night before.

For example:

5 things to be done (27 May 2008)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Appointment is SYABAS, bahagian Wilayah at 10am (ETS Project)
2. Technical visits Hospital Pantai
3. Follow up list (ETS Project):
- Rockwills (management)
- ITJ college (admin dept)
- Delima Apartment community assoc
- MPIB (engineering dept)
4. Prospecting (phone calls) - 10 calls
5. Submitting case for takaful (1 case)
6. Email for a prospect, medical card info (eh... dah terlebih pulak.. hehe)
2. Assign priorities.
What should be done first? Second? What can wait? Arrange items on your list in order of importance (never ease of handling)
Hope we still remember how we learned about this method in school backdays.
penting dan segera, penting tapi tak segera, tak penting tapi segera, tak penting dan tak segera
3. Do first things first
Top priority matters most. for reasons you yourself have decided.
4. Allow no interruptions.
Especially the personal things that may effect or interrupt the officials one.
Using valueable time for worry is non-productive. Nothing is achieved by worry; except the addition of stress that leads us down a physically destructive path. Action is better than worrying.
As the conclusion, the most basic principle in time management and self-discipline; do the most important task first, to exclusion of everything else. Not after checking email, or friendster, not after reading the newspaper, writing on the blog, after clearing away small jobs... This simple idea is really hard to implement, including me myself.
"Demi masa, sesungguhnya manusia sentiasa di dalam kerugian. Kecuali mereka yang beriman, beramal soleh dan berpesan-pesan kepada kebenaran dan kesabaran"
[surah Al-'Asr: 1-3]
Tu sebab kena tulis kat sini supaya diri sendiri dapat berubah
